We've got a 5 year-old spayed female Terv in need of a new home. The family situation has changed for her and she needs a new start. The arrival of triplets has changed her role and she's not able to get the attention and exercise she requires. If you can help out, contact

Sadly, there is a Malinois in the Delta SPCA. Wendi checked him out. She was unable to find a CKC tattoo on him. Although shelter staff indicated he is dog-aggressive, Wendi had the opportunity to observe him out walking with a person and another dog and he seemed to be fine. He is a very loving boy and didn't balk at lying down and having his belly rubbed by someone he didn't know. It would be great to get him out of there. He knows how to heel and sit and the person walking him has bonded with him but the guy's wife doesn't want two dogs. He really wants to work and would do well in an obedience class or agility. If you think you might be able to provide a loving home for him, check him out at: |

On November 1, 2009 at the Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers show in Abbotsford,BC, Kyros (Ch. Atim's Hirollin Pocket Rocket, JHD, CGN, CD) and Wendi took first place with 195.5 out of 200 in Novice A Obedience under Judge M. Calhoun.
On the previous two days, Kyros placed 2nd and third and he can now add the letters CD to his name. It was a very impressive and positive weekend for everyone. Congratulations to Wendi and Kyros. On the same weekend, Karen and her boy Tasker (Maggray's Strike Task Force, CD) also earned their CD, with Tasker taking the class on the Friday and Saturday. Well done.

We're happy to report that "Joe", the Malinois formerly in the SPCA shelter in Nanaimo, has a new home. He is gone to the home of a young couple in Nanaimo who plan to do tracking and herding with him. They are first time Belgian owners but have done lots of homework and research. |
